Every time I saw Tim Holtz blog about slicing open his Texture Fades embossing folders, I would scoff a little at the madness of it. Take a sharp instrument to my precious craft supplies? Don’t be so ridiculous! So it was with trembling hands, that I finally took the plunge and sliced into mine!

I marked the folder and sliced along the fold, leaving 1/2 an inch un-cut at each end, (if things go wrong you can stick the folder back together with tape).

I can now feed my tags through the top of the folder and emboss any part.

I used different folders to emboss this Spring inspired tag. I am really pleased to have adopted this new attitude towards my craft tools.
